Pakistani Designers Impress At Berlin Fashion Show
Pakistan was an official partner for the eight edition of the renowned show, in an exclusive collaboration organised by our Embassy in Berlin. The collections displayed were deeply entrenched in a serious endeavour to revive and rejuvenate traditional craft, specifically embroideries in Pakistan.
The representation of Saxony-Anhalt in Berlin serves as a platform for new and upcoming designers. The patrons of the show were Prof. Dr. Armin Willingmann, Minister of Economics, Science and Digitalisation of the State of Saxony-Anhalt and Rainer Nitsche, Minister for Economic Affairs, Tourism and Regional Cooperation of the State Capital. Pakistan Embassy officials including His Excellency, the Ambassador attended the event, and his wife Mrs Zara Jauhar also walked the ramp for Ali Xeeshan.
Also in attendance were a bevy of notables from national and international representations in Berlin from the politics, business and the media fraternity.
The fashion show immediately followed the Berlin Fashion Week. However, Magdeburg's fashion designers did not shy away from comparison with other fashion cities. The shows were unique and diverse, for example a children's fashion line, as well as festive and bridal fashion.
With its eighth edition, this series of events has become firmly established. ‘Otto Macht Mode’ is one of the many measures taken by the Magdeburg Economic Department to support cultural and creative industries.
