Mayonnaise is essentially a blend of eggs and oil, emulsified to a creamy texture perfect to spread on sandwiches and use as a dip. Yogurt can be used instead of mayonnaise in salads and sandwiches, and I promise that it would still taste delicious.

Breadcrumbs are normally used for coating foods for crispy results. Mix in some salt, pepper and herbs with oatmeal and use that for coating. Brush some olive oil on top and bake it for delicious, crispy snacks.

Flour in cakes can be substituted for rice flour, almond flour and occasionally coconut flour. Wheat flour can be used for breads.

Cream is basically the fat that comes on top of milk. Coconut milk can be substituted in stews, soups and curries easily without inducing a strong flavor.

Sugar can be you tummy’s enemy, especially paired with fats. Substitute honey for sweetness whenever you can. Adding some cinnamon or vanilla to desserts along with sugar can give extra sweetness.
