Can't Hardly Wait for Baar Baar Dekho
This is the first time we see the new pair (Katrina Kaif and Siddhart Malhotra) together onscreen and we love them. The chemistry between them works really well. Casting them together was a brilliant idea- we can’t wait for the release.
The trailer begins with a younger, nerdier Katrina (Diya)- sporting short hair and glasses. Siddhart (Jai) Is some kind of a mathematical genius who has figured out the formula for life:
Jai + Diya = Love
They’re both young, playful, high on life and madly in love.
Initially, the title for the film was Kal Jisne Dheka, but was later changed. The genre for the movie comes under the broad umbrella of romance, but there are elements of comedy, drama and even a state of chaotic confusion.
Katrinas character is a true depiction of an independent, modern 21st century woman when she asks Jai (Siddhart) to marry her. The question makes Jai (Siddhart) go into a kind of frenzy and a sort of butterfly effect. Nitya Mehra seems to have done a phenomenal job with her directorial debut with Baar Baar Dhekho. Nitya, was previously an assistant director for films such as The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Life of Pi. Now she collaborated with Karan Johar and they both co produced Baar Baar Dheko and we simply can not wait for the result.
The perfect summer time movie. Katrinas perfectly toned, bronzed legs are goals! She runs on the beaches of Thailand in a pink bikini with her sun kissed hair flowing behind her. Siddhart looks mesmerising as he stands in the middle of the blue lagoon with his sexy abs on display.
We see many different looks of the actors as they age in the trailer- from carefree, young adults to sex bombshells to mature 70 year olds.
Also, One second! Is this movie about what i think it is. Is this about time travel? Even though the makers of the film reject the time travel notion, It made me immediately think of movies like Back To The Future, the Butterfly Effect and the Time Travellers Wife.
Is any Bollywood movie ever truly complete without a grand wedding. Admit it, we all love a big fat, colourful Indian wedding. The hit number Kala Chasma has got us shaking our booties.
The film is set to release on September 9 and I will probably be at the front of the ticket line at my nearest cinema on that date. The trailer takes us on one heck of an emotional roller-coaster ride.
